Our Merengő 2009 won the Wine of the Year award at the Amsterdam Proefschrift Wijnconcours, the biggest wine competition in the Netherlands. This Bikavér Superior competed in the wine store category. Merengő was recognized in the category of wines that cost between 20 and 30 euros. The Örökké 2009 got into the five best gastro white wine in the category of wines that cost between 15 and 20 euros.

Dr. György Lőrincz, the manager of the St. Andrea Winery, the oenologist of the Eger wine region, was chosen as “The Winemaker of the Year” by the Hungarian Wine Academy in Budapest on Friday.
After receiving the highest ranked award of the profession, Dr. György Lőrincz expressed that Eger wine, for him is primarily blending varieties. He uses mainly Carpathian-Basin varieties in making wines.
