Merengő Egri Bikavér superior 2007

A bor képe

The origin of Merengő dates back to the 2000 vintage, before establishing the company, when there was just a small home cellar and the colleagues’ Cabernet Franc plantations at the Merengő hill.

The carefully grown grapes were harvested to the small cellar and recieved the name Merengő Cabernet Franc. Then 2002 arrived with the establishment of St. Andrea when the question arose: will there be Merengő?

The answer is revealed from the above mentioned lines. The conception was clear; only the best bull’s blood’s name can be Merengő (Daydreaming)! This is how the Superior Bikavérs were born in 2002, 2003, 2005 and 2006.

Now we have to face an interesting situation: our 2007 Merengő wine is a pure terroir wine with all of the ingredients coming from Paptag hill. Tasty, creamy, velvety, liquorish flavors. Definitely terroir features that give us a dense, fleshy, bodied and almost chewable wine with soft tones. Its friendly texture and multiple flavors result in a nice drinkable wine.
